8/23/2023 0 Comments Sioux city dump airportCollaborates with the Consultant Engineer and Airport Manager on capital projects or maintenance activities that impact the airway system develops solutions to ensure smooth operations of Airport.Coordinates with the Airport Manager on FAA self-inspections in accordance with FAR Part 139 and takes appropriate action to correct deviations.Seeks to improve customer service, productivity and efficiency and assist with resolution of work-related complaints and issues that cannot be addressed by staff.Performs all work duties and activities in accordance with City policies, procedures, and safety practices.Operates power tools and all equipment in the Airport equipment inventory including, but not limited to backhoes, loader, dump truck, oversized snow removal equipment, and related airport maintenance equipment.Performs crack sealing and paints runway and taxiway markings. Directs and performs wildlife management, runway inspection, and runway lighting repairs to maintain operational safely.Directs and performs ground maintenance.Responds to requests from and coordinates work with airport tenants.Monitors HVAC systems and other mechanical mechanisms in all airport buildings. Directs and performs building maintenance including carpentry, painting, electrical, and plumbing maintenance and repairs.Directs and performs snow and ice removal on access roads, runways, taxiways, aprons/parking areas, sidewalks, and paved areas using specialized snowplowing and sweeping equipment.Participates in short-and long-range planning for improvement projects and oversees airport projects. Schedules maintenance and repair work, ensuring equipment and supplies are available.Monitors runway lighting and navigational aid equipment.Maintains required FAA documentation, records, logs, and documentation of maintenance and repair work performed.Posts Notices to Airmen (NOTAMS) on FAA website on airport operational conditions.Performs inspections of runways and affiliated operational areas to ensure Airport meets Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) operational and maintenance standards. Directs and performs maintenance and repair work on the City airport facility.Maintain safe work environment, supervising training in and implementation of safety protocols and procedures. Supervises, trains, schedules, assigns duties, evaluates, and disciplines employees.If you have a friendly personality, approachable, flexible and can adjust to a changing environment, please join us! The position will work Monday through Friday from 8:00AM – 4:30PM.
